[China, Shanghai, June 26, 2019] During the MWC19 Shanghai, the 5G Deterministic Network Summit was successfully held. At the summit, Huawei and more than 30 industry partners set up a 5G deterministic network industry alliance and industrial innovation base to continue to promote industry consensus and ecological construction, and accelerate the development of 5G industry.
The key to the development of 5G industry application is to provide "differentiated + deterministic" network service capabilities. Huawei first proposed the concept of 5G Deterministic Networking (5G) in the industry, based on the original cloud super-distributed architecture. Key technologies such as MEC and dynamic intelligent network slicing use a cloud to meet the industry's “differentiated network requirements and deterministic SLAs” to ensure the ultimate user experience, promote industry application innovation, and enable thousands of industries.
Ms. Shi Yulin, President of Huawei Cloud Core Network Product Line, delivered a speech for the establishment of the alliance. She said that 5G opens up new space for digitalization of the industry and brings more opportunities. The 5G deterministic network will provide a reliable and predictable network environment for industry applications, meeting industry-differentiated + deterministic network requirements. The 5G Deterministic Network Industry Alliance aims to unite industry partners, promote open collaboration between upstream and downstream industries, and apply best practices in the incubation industry to promote the healthy and sustainable development of the industry.
Operators such as China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom, as well as the Central Radio and Television Headquarters, State Grid Jiangsu Power, Country Garden Group, Guangzhou Public Transportation Group, Haier and other industry partners also shared the application and practice of 5G in the industry. It shows the broad prospects and vitality of 5G application in the industry.
Liu Yunjie, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said in his speech that the future network will support the tens of billions of connections and services of all-time, safe and intelligent. The network will become an indispensable part of social life like water, electricity and air.
