Inspiring and leading the way, the 2023 Imaging Competition kicks off globally

The video competition encourages creators to use their own expertise to record and share insights, witnessing the burst of inspiration. The competition will be submitted at 24:00 Beijing time on August 15, 2023.


Since 2017, Huawei has held image competitions worldwide every year, constantly exploring new ways of image expression. As of 2022, nearly 4 million submissions have been received, covering more than 170 countries and regions, accumulating rich cultural assets in imaging.


This competition will continue to lead mobile imaging innovation and stimulate user creativity. Images are not only instantaneous and narrative records, but also expressions of the creator's self concept and style.


Compared to last year, this year's competition has upgraded to three categories of photography, namely "Good Images Are Not afraid of the Late", "Portrait", and "Journey", with a richer variety of creative themes. In addition, the competition also welcomed a new lineup of judges, inviting a total of 5 heavyweight professional judges to participate in the evaluation, including Chen Xiaobo, Vice Chairman of the China Photographers Association, fashion photographer Pei Tongtong, Portuguese landscape photographer Jos é Ramos, Australian portrait photographer Jessica Hromas, and Li Changzhu, Vice President of Huawei Terminal BG Strategic Marketing. They have a professional perspective and diverse background, and will jointly evaluate, discuss, and decide on the final award-winning work.


The competition sets up more groups to provide a display stage for more exciting content, showcasing the unique observation and expression methods of participants. The competition sets up "Student Special Attention Award" for students aged 18-24 in Chinese Mainland, aiming to encourage students to explore more possibilities of Huawei mobile phone images. Participants are required to submit their personal introduction, photographic works, and artwork explanations to The organizing committee of the competition reserves the right to verify the identity of the winning students in the future.


The globally unified submission channel is the official website of Huawei Imaging Overseas users can also submit through HUAWEI Community, while domestic users can also submit from sub regions such as Huawei Theme, My Huawei, Huawei Mall, and Changlian.
