Ooredoo and Huawei Sign Mobile Finance Cooperation Agreement

The Cordoo Group has signed a cooperation agreement with Huawei to exclusively select the Huawei Fintech (Mobile Finance) technology platform on its existing global subnet to provide industry advanced mobile financial technology services to end consumers and merchants.
At the signing ceremony, Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo, Managing Director and CEO of the Ooredoo Group, said: "Ooredoo's strategy focuses on core communications businesses and explores the development of related new businesses such as mobile finance. Ooredoo has achieved success in mobile finance business in Qatar, and plans to extend this business to other subnet markets in 2023, simplifying daily financial transactions locally, and promoting financial inclusion. The new cooperation agreement with Huawei will provide a solid foundation for our efforts in this field."

The cooperation agreement with Huawei will help Ooredoo further consolidate its advantageous market position and improve the end-user experience.
