The aim was to help African operators accelerate the release of network potential through cloud technology, create new growth curves for business, and unleash digital productivity in Africa.

At the meeting, Huawei released a distributed cloud solution for African operators, helping local operators efficiently achieve internal IT system cloudization and better support operators in building On Premise ToB clouds. Through cloud network integration, it accelerates operator network monetization and opens up industry market space.

Hou Wei, head of BG, Huawei's North African operator, pointed out in his opening speech that cloud technology has been integrated into the Digital transformation of various industries and has become a key force in restructuring the industry's economic structure. Africa is also facing a huge opportunity of Digital transformation. The cloud transformation of operators suggests adopting a "CT+cloud" approach, fully leveraging the advantages of the telecommunications industry, utilizing cloud transformation to unleash the full value of telecommunications networks and services.

Omdia Senior Analyst Kris Szaniawski stated that the compound growth rate (CAGR) of the Middle East and African enterprise cloud service market space is expected to reach 21% in the next five years, higher than the global average of 17%. The development of cloud services in Africa is still at an early stage. With the deepening of the Digital transformation strategy of African countries, the demand of enterprises for cloud services is rising rapidly, and the growth potential of operators in the enterprise cloud service market is huge.

Tariku Demissie, CTO of Ethiopia Telecom, also stated that cloud services have become a key engine for Ethiopia Telecom to achieve its second growth curve. Cloud based industry scenario solutions have helped Ethiopia Telecom quickly open up the space for large and medium-sized enterprises to participate in the digital market.
