Recently, Huawei held the Eco Connect Sub Sahara Africa 2023 in Johannesburg, South Africa. The theme of this conference is "Leading Digital Technology, Sharing Innovative Value", attracting nearly 3000 partners and customer representatives from more than 10 countries in the region to attend.
At present, Huawei has nearly 3000 partners in the southern African region, and 90% of sales are completed through partners. At this conference, Huawei announced that it will invest $30 million in 2023 for partner capacity enhancement, joint branding activities, joint solution innovation, and local talent cultivation in the southern African region.
Wang Tao, executive director of Huawei, director of the ICT Infrastructure Business Management Committee and president of BG, said in his speech that in the face of the irresistible wave of intelligence, Huawei is committed to providing the industry's richest and leading products and solutions, and working with partners to help accelerate the Digital transformation of thousands of industries.
Chen Lei, President of Huawei's Southern Africa Division, stated in his keynote speech that the digital wave has brought opportunities for the African continent to achieve "leapfrog" development. Currently, Huawei, together with its partners, has created many successful cases in Africa. Chen Lei stated that behind all successful cases, the role of industry partners is indispensable. He reiterated that Huawei will always adhere to a fair and transparent partnership policy, and strive for mutual benefit and growth with its partners.
Philly Mapulane, Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Technology of South Africa, said in his speech at the conference that Huawei is an important partner of the Government of South Africa. Panyaza Lesufi, Governor of Premier of Gauteng Province, South Africa, said at the conference that Gauteng Province is committed to becoming the digital center of South Africa. "We are proud that Huawei is going with us.".
This conference also held 8 sub forums focusing on areas such as digital government, IP networks, data storage, transportation, cloud, and digital energy. At the same time, the 2500 square meter exhibition hall set up by the conference displayed a series of products, solutions and best practices of Huawei in the Digital transformation of the industry.
